Our Logan Barbers

Marcus Maes (Owner)

I’ve lived in Logan my whole life and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. My first passion was basketball, I still play 2-3 times a week when I can. Unfortunately I’m not playing for the Lakers right now so I figured Barbering was the next best thing! I love being a barber because It allows me to stay in contact with all my old friends, and make new friends along the way. My goal when I opened up Boneyard Barbering was to bring some culture to Logan, and hopefully inspire others with ideas and dreams to just go for it. That’s where #StaySwingin comes from.

Korrena Zaragoza

I come from a small country town by the name of Yerington, but received my education in The Biggest Little City of Reno, Nevada. In my free time I enjoy hangin with the fam, lifting at the gym, cooking/eating food, and enjoying life with my hubby. Ever since I was a little girl, hair has been something I’ve loved doing.  My dolls always had the freshest cuts. The amount of skill and art put into each haircut is fascinating. Being able to show my creativity through this industry is what makes it worthwhile. They say do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life. I can honestly say I love what I do.

Luis Mario Zaragoza Jr

Hi, my name is Luis Mario Zaragoza Jr. A little about myself is that I was born in Long Beach, California. I moved to Logan when I was about five, and have been back and fourth ever since. I love playing basketball, going to the gym, spending time with my family, and wife. I have a great passion for doing hair. I had a blessing in disguise with my old job that now allows me to do what I love while being surrounded by some of the best people I know.

Akira Mack

My name is Akira and I grew up in San Francisco, Ca. My obsession with mens hair started when I was 17 and a junior in highschool. I’ve been licensed to cut hair professionally for 6 years now and I take pride in being able to cut any texture of hair without any hesitation. I’ve competed in HELLA barber battles and have worked with some really well known barbers who have taught me many different methods of cutting. This is my passion and honesty there is nothing in the world I’d rather be doing. My goal is to become an educator and hopefully take my knowledge worldwide one day. Sit in my chair and see for yourself!

Latu Pauni

I’m Latu Pauni, i also go by Lj, or Steez. I’m 🇹🇴 Tongan, proud to be raised in the Tongan culture. I was raised in Logan, played football for Logan starting in 2001 until i graduated in 2012. I coached high school football for a year until i left in 2013 to serve in Da Great Zambia Lusaka Mission in Africa. I started cutting hair in Africa, and when i came home i continued to cut hair and learn different hairstyles. I returned home in 2015 and continued to coach high school 🏈 while i attended USU. My dream was always to coach football as a career which is why i was pursuing a degree. Eventually i did ‘fade’ away from USU and get into barber school. I  graduated from there April 2019. I chose to become a barber to be my own boss/become a business owner, so that i could still live my dream of coaching football. I love God, family and football. I still coach 🏈, i was at Logan High for 6 years and now I am @Ridgeline High school. I love my life! I spend time with my family, cut hair, and then end the day coaching football. Don’t get much better than that!

I'm originally from Salt Lake City born at the University of Utah so you know I gotta go for my Utes and Jazz. I always wanted to be a musician from early on music was what helped me cope with my crazy life but music engineering is a lot more expensive than being a barber so I decided to become a barber because helping people look and feel their best is what gives me another level of enjoyment, to see someone smile after a haircut is what keeps me going. If I'm not at the shop cutting hair I'm probably at other people's house or at home cutting hair. Sometimes if I have time I'll be making music. Other than that I love helping people.

Christian “Ty2si” Avevedo (Provo Owner)

Originally I started cutting hair in Southern California halfway through my sophomore year of high school back in 2010. To stay out of trouble I became homeschooled even though no one believed I would graduate. As a result I turned to barbering so I could stay in touch with my boys. After realizing my passion for creating clean cuts, I moved to Utah where I’ve been for the past 3 years perfecting my craft and acquiring a career. Many have tried to prove that I’m wasting my time, but I’ve noticed that those have been the people that aren’t willing to take a chance for something great and have ended up with nothing to show for it.
I’ve always wanted to be a role model in my community. So after having the chance to work with and meet some of the biggest names in Barbering, I’ve recognized me and them have something in common. Something Boneyard Barbering stands for. Bringing culture to the community and helping people feel better about themselves.

Kenia Teno

I'm originally from Mexico, but grew up in Oakland, California. I've been living in Utah for about 7 years now, going to USU, then Paul Mitchell in Logan. Ever since I was a little girl, I always had a passion for hairstyling and all that and I aspired to be a hairstylist one day.  Once in Cosmetology school, I fell in love with the barbering aspect of it and ever since then, it's been my passion and honestly my happy place. I love everything about this industry and how it's constantly evolving. I love how a quality haircut can bring a smile and more confidence to a guy and I work hard to bring that to every single client I meet! I'm always looking to try different designs/cuts and push my limits creatively to improve everyday!

Spent most of my life up and down the Wasatch front. I am currently residing in Provo. Unlike most, I discovered a passion for barbering later in my years. I would consider myself a student of fine arts and barbering allows me to display my creativity. What I look forward to each day is the camaraderie that is built amongst clientele and my fellow barbers. "IT'S NOT ABOUT BEING THE BEST, IT'S ABOUT BEING BETTER THAN YOU WERE YESTERDAY" I strive to provide excellence in my daily duties. That's what this shop, Boneyard Barbering, takes pride in.

Elisha Acevedo

My name is Elisha but many call me PEACHES. The reason why I became a esthetician is because I have felt the insecurities of my own skin and felt that I had no where to turn for help. I feel like many of us have grown up without being properly educated on how to treat our skin and it’s potential. Just like how the difference of one good haircut can make all the difference in the world, having a service for your skin will make that difference as well. As I have pursued perfecting this service, my motivation to help others has brought me here.
