💈 Welcome to The Boneyard ☠️
“Haircuts held to a higher standard.”
We take our craft very seriously. We are trusted by many of the USU and BYU student athletes because we always take our time and pay attention to detail. We have an awesome, laid back, chill environment. 2000’s throwback music is often the go to. We encourage bringing your friends with you to play some billiards or video games while you wait. Online appointments are preferred and very simple on our sleek website. We are usually booked out in advance, which makes it hard to take walk-ins, but you can always try!

Our Logan Barbers
Marcus Maes (Owner)
I’ve lived in Logan my whole life and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. My first passion was basketball, I still play 2-3 times a week when I can. Unfortunately I’m not playing for the Lakers right now so I figured Barbering was the next best thing! I love being a barber because It allows me to stay in contact with all my old friends, and make new friends along the way. My goal when I opened up Boneyard Barbering was to bring some culture to Logan, and hopefully inspire others with ideas and dreams to just go for it. That’s where #StaySwingin comes from.
Kenyon Turner
I love working at Boneyard Barbering. Plan on being here for awhile. I served a full time Mission in Alaska. Went to the Paul Mitchell here in Logan. I like to hike, workout, game, skate & chill. One of the first barbers here at Boneyard and believe that we take our time to make sure it's looking extra nice. Let's make you look fresh.
Geno Odong
I'm originally native to Las Vegas, Nevada but call Cache Valley my home now.
I'm an "18-year-rooted-plant".
Who/What is responsible for that you ask?
Well, let's break it down to the following three factors:
Number One. My time at Utah State University as a Student/Athlete/Graduate/Professional.
I was part of the 2006 Football Recruiting Class and played 2 seasons as a Defensive Back due to
knee injuries. I graduated in 2010 with my Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise
Science/Physiology.
I enjoyed my experiences working in the Utah State Athletic Department as an Assistant/Coordinator
under then Executive Associate Athletics Director for External Operations and Senior Woman’s
Administrator (SWA) Jana Doggett, as an undergraduate 2008-2010 and graduate 2010-2012.
I also juggled a graduate teaching assistanceship in what is now the Kinesiology and Health Science
Department of the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education & Human Services while provding
mentorship and tutoring for student-athletes through Student-Athlete Academic Services
Number two. I elected to give the University journey a much needed break in the thick of postgrad
study/work. It was a major decision in my life at this time to pivot and focus on developing a hobby of
cutting hair into a professional craft. I enrolled at Maximum Style Tech Hair School 2012-2013 and
obtained my professional Barbering and Cosmetology license in 2013.
I immediately began work at the classic Shear Shack Barbershop under Master Barber, Al Balls in the
old Downtown Emporium. I purchased, operated and after relocating, sold the shop 2014-2018.
I contracted my professional services in the corporate sector 2016-present which led me to take up
residence with the now Malouf Companies, headquartered in Nibley 2017-present. I established and
led an Employee Hair Services Department 2017-2022 that provided hair services at no cost to
employees as part of their employee benefits package. They could each receive one monthly “on-
site” hair service from me and my team in two state of the art hair service studios designed by myself
and local Master Cosmetologist, Jacy Aguirre in collaboration with Malouf’s then lead Interior
Designer, Kim Christiansen.
The third and most important factor was choosing to start a family in marrying my wife 2020-present.
We have three boys and a dog. My hobbies at the moment include dad-life and riding my bike!
I have served the Cache Valley Community publicy and privately through my professional Barbering
and Cosmetology career over the past 12 years. I am presently placing a major focus on re-
establishing myself in serving the general public yet again.
My thanks and gratitude to Marcus Maes for the opportunity to serve in one of the most premiere
Barber Shops in the State of Utah.
Thank you ahead of time as I am looking forward to connecting with you and taking care of you in the
chair!
Cody Nuehring
I spent most of my childhood in northern and central California. When I was 15 my mom decided Utah was a safer place, and moved us to Lewiston, Utah. I spent my teen years in Cache Valley before heading back to California. A few years out of high school, I joined the Air Force, and got my first taste of barbering, though the military didn’t offer a lot of creative opportunities. Post-military, I landed back in Cache Valley where I started a family and got a degree in Data Analytics, however, sitting in front of a screen all day is not for me. I recently decided to take a leap and go for something I love. I have an appreciation for the transformative power of a fresh cut and the confidence it instills, and being able to create that for other people is what I love to do. Outside of the barber shop you can find me on the lacrosse or softball fields coaching or cheering for my kids. When not chasing kids around, my wife and I like to ski, fly fish, cruise on the motorcycle, or hike (even if it's sometimes at the gentle urging of my wife).
Eric Horn
I was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. I have a huge passion for hiking, trail running, fly fishing, bow hunting, and snowboarding. I’ve been barbering professionally for 8 years, and over the years I’ve crafted my skill into an ongoing passion where I’m always looking for ways to keep getting better. It’s rewarding to put out a cut that makes someone look and feel great, and I can’t wait to continue to push myself to be the best version of myself while making my clients happy as well.
Haley Christensen
I was born and raised in Logan, Utah. I studied cosmetology at Paul Mitchell and ever since then I’ve fallen in love with barbering. I love making people look and feel confident. I also love learning new techniques, and being able to improve my work everyday. I’m working my dream job and couldn’t be more stoked! When I’m not cutting hair, I’m usually doing anything outdoors or kicking it back with friends and family.
Max Allen
I spent half my life in Cove, just north of Logan, and another large portion of my life in Southern California. No matter where I have lived I played lacrosse and was at climbing gyms and in the outdoors as much as possible. I started cutting while working at a group home, I loved it, the challenges, the artistic origin, so I went to barber school. Skiing, climbing, lacrosse and barbering are what I love to do.
Xavier Little
After living in Cache Valley for a couple years. I attended "The Barber School" in Midvale. Where I trained in techniques new and old. I'm dedicated to crafting personalized looks that suit each client's personality. Come see me at the shop and lets get you the right cut.
Oscar Ayala
I moved to cache valley at a young age from Mexico City. I love playing sports and the outdoors. I’ve always loved cutting hair, it started by giving haircuts to family and friends. I attended otech barbering school where I took my skill to the next level. I’ve always had big dreams, I grew up really poor and one of my dreams is to help the people in need achieve their dreams as well, anybody can make it happen all it takes is that push from somebody. Being positive, having a smile can go long ways.

Blade McDade
My name is Blade McDade I was raised in Logan UT. I grew up an athlete which set a good foundation for who I am today. I love being active, being outdoors and cutting hair. I’ve been cutting hair since about the age of 14 but barbering as a career is new to me and I’m loving every second of it. I enjoy connecting with everyone that sits in my chair and adding value beyond the cut I bring the energy and I’m excited to bring it to the Ogden area!!
Tavin Nye
I was born in Ogden, I went to O-Tech for barbering coming right out of high school. I love giving a service to people that helps them feel fresh and have more confidence in themselves. I love combat sports, and when I’m not cutting hair I’m usually hanging with my friends or family
our provo barbers
Jehicob Rivas (Provo Owner)
I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I grew up playing baseball competitively and working to make it to the MLB. When I was 23 I moved to New York and later found my way to Provo, UT for school and work. I started cutting hair for my friends and family when I was 20 and in 2018 I started making it career. I love the flexibility, growth, and creativity that barbering offers me. I like to provide my clients fresh design and cuts. If I am not cutting hair, you can find me the gym where I feel the most alive and healthy.
Christian “Ty2si” Avevedo
Originally I started cutting hair in Southern California halfway through my sophomore year of high school back in 2010. To stay out of trouble, I became homeschooled even though no one believed I would graduate. As a result I turned to barbering so I could stay in touch with my boys. After realizing my passion for creating clean cuts, I moved to Utah where I’ve been for the past 3 years perfecting my craft and acquiring a career. Many have tried to prove that I’m wasting my time, but I’ve noticed that those have been the people that aren’t willing to take a chance for something great and have ended up with nothing to show for it.
I’ve always wanted to be a role model in my community. So after having the chance to work with and meet some of the biggest names in Barbering, I’ve recognized me and them have something in common. Something Boneyard Barbering stands for. Bringing culture to the community and helping people feel better about themselves.
Kenia Teno
I'm originally from Mexico, but grew up in Oakland, California. I've been living in Utah for about 7 years now, going to USU, then Paul Mitchell in Logan. Ever since I was a little girl, I always had a passion for hairstyling and all that and I aspired to be a hairstylist one day. Once in Cosmetology school, I fell in love with the barbering aspect of it and ever since then, it's been my passion and honestly my happy place. I love everything about this industry and how it's constantly evolving. I love how a quality haircut can bring a smile and more confidence to a guy and I work hard to bring that to every single client I meet! I'm always looking to try different designs/cuts and push my limits creatively to improve everyday!
Edward Galo
Hey my name is Edward! I go by Ed, Eddie, Eduardo, or Lalo. I’m from Newburgh, NY and got a passion for barbering when I turned 18. I love barbering, being able to vibe with everybody and just have a good time! I’m always looking to improve and learn new techniques. Let’s get you looking right!
Haven Nelson
I was raised in Bountiful and just recently moved to Logan. :) I enjoy fishing, camping, and cycling. I have over 30 plants in my apartment and am always open to welcoming more! I love discussing movies and talking to people in general! That's one of my favorite things about barbering. Being able to have genuine connections with people and getting to know people's stories!
